Laying the Foundation for
Pakistan’s Olive Revolution

Pakistan is on the path to becoming a key player in the global olive industry, and the OliveCulture Project – Phase 1 was the catalyst for this transformation. Launched in 2022, this initiative, led by CIHEAM Bari in collaboration with national stakeholders, aimed to strengthen Pakistan’s olive value chain, promote sustainable agriculture, and enhance food security. Over 26 months, Phase 1 created an ecosystem of growth, innovation, and capacity-building, paving the way for an internationally competitive olive sector.

A Transformational
Journey (2022-2024)

Phase 1 was not just about olive production—it was a strategic intervention designed to address the entire value chain, from cultivation to market access. It empowered thousands of farmers, created economic opportunities, introduced climate-smart agricultural practices, and positioned Pakistan’s premium-quality olive oil for domestic market.
