Achieving Sustainable Impact
Projected Outcomes of
OliveCulture II ScaleUp
Government
Strengthening
A strong institutional framework is essential for the growth and sustainability of Pakistan’s olive industry. The OliveCulture II Scale-Up project strengthens the policy and regulatory environment, enabling federal and provincial authorities to provide better support to farmers, producers, and private sector stakeholders.
Nursery
Enhancements
The foundation of a thriving olive industry lies in high-quality, certified nursery production. OliveCulture II Scale-Up is developing model nurseries, ensuring the availability of disease-free, high-yield olive saplings across Pakistan.
Production
Boost
Ensuring high productivity and superior quality in olive farming requires modern, climate-adaptive agricultural practices. OliveCulture II Scale-Up trains farmers, extension workers, and processors to adopt Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA).
Market
Expansion
Despite its growing potential, Pakistani olive oil consumption remains limited. OliveCulture II Scale-Up aims to increase domestic market awareness, enhance branding, and improve commercial availability to establish Pakistani olive oil as a trusted household product.
Women
and Youth
Empowering women and youth is central to Pakistan’s economic transformation. OliveCulture II Scale-Up is creating opportunities by integrating them into the olive value chain, equipping them with technical, financial, and entrepreneurial skills.
Objectives
The project’s ability will be to respond to the country’s agricultural needs in increasing food and nutritional security, environmental resilience and cultural enhancement through olive growing and its related industries.
Overall Objective
The General Objective of the Project is to contribute to inclusive growth for the improvement of nutritional security and resilience to the effects of Climate Change through olive production and processing industries in Pakistan. The objective aligns with the broader aim of stimulating profitable activities within the olive sector, building institutional capacities, and establishing a comprehensive supply chain that enhances the well-being of producer families.
Specific Objective
The Specific Objective of the Project is to enhance the capacity of the Pakistani public and private actors to foster quality and quantity olive-culture productions and to develop climate resilience and adaptive capacity.

Our Mission
The mission is to systematize and consolidate the results achieved so far by Pakistani and Italian initiatives carried out in Pakistan in order to weave a national canvas (Holistic Mechanism) to build all the steps – from-farm-to-fork- of a Pakistani Olive Oil Value Chain, to be tailored to each Province’s requirements. Whereas the Multi-professional Mechanism encompasses all institutional, scientific, health (incl. Covid-19) social, economic, cultural, environmental, nutritional, and convivial aspects to converge to and spread from the OliveCulture Places.
Our Vision
We aim to strengthen the Pakistani olive oil value chain on several levels in a holistic, participatory, and multifunctional way, involving institutions, businesses, farmers, youth and women and consumers to improve economic, productive, and qualitative performances.
